Since upgrading to macos monterey, sidecar isn't working wirelessly. If you don’t see the airplay icon, choose apple menu > system preferences > displays, then make sure you selected ”show mirroring options in the menu bar when available” choose your ipad from airplay’s list the airplay icon changes to a blue rectangle, indicating sidecar is active your ipad shows an extension of your mac desktop by default.
